THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DO NOT IN ANY WAY AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER.

Please read through the terms and conditions carefully as these form the basis of the contract. If Further information is required this can be provided on request.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT POLICY

A minimum deposit of 50% is required on booking of the cake. All deposits are non-refundable. An order does not become an order until the deposit has been made. Final payment will be required the day before collection. Deposits and full payment can be made via bank transfer or cash.

FOOD ALLERGIES

Blue Barn Bakes is NOT an allergy-free kitchen. I cannot guarantee that our products are free from ingredients that may affect those with food allergies. I reserve the right to decline any orders for clients with serious food allergies. Blue Barn Bakes will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to our products.

The following ingredients are used in our kitchen:

  • Milk and other dairy products

  • Eggs

  • Nuts

  • Wheat and gluten

  • Sulphates

For all orders that have specific allergy or dietary requirements a separate disclaimer will require agreement to.

TRAVELLING WITH THE CAKE

DO NOT place the cake on a seat in the car, seats are slanted and can damage the cake. The cake should be placed either in the boot or the foot well of the car, preferably on a non-slip mat. Extra care should be taken when driving as some elements may be delicate.  Blue Barn Bakes cannot take any responsibility for damage to cakes when collected and transported by their customers.

STORAGE

All cakes should be placed on a flat surface and stored at room temperature in the box provided. They should be kept out of direct sunlight. Please note cakes should consumed ideally within 3 days.

Please keep all fondant covered products out of the fridge.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If the order is cancelled by the customer, your deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. If the cake is cancelled 48 hours prior to collection, full payment will be required to cover expenses already incurred on behalf of the finished product.

COMPLAINTS

Any damage, contamination or loss of product is the responsibility of the customer and Blue Barn Bakes cannot be held responsible after collection or delivery.

In the unlikely event of any problems occurring, at least 75% of the cake must be returned within 24 hours to decide further action. This process may include consulting another baker of Blue Barn Bake’s choice. No refunds are given however a free product or discount applied to the customers’ next order may be applied at our discretion.

If the product is damaged in the care of the customer, please contact me for further advice as it may be possible to repair the damage. Any repairs needed due to excessive damage caused by lack of care by the customer will be charged at a per hour rate of £10 on top of any extra ingredients costs.

​​If the item has been delivered to a venue then the venue staff are to sign for the item. This is to confirm the product is presented as per images sent before delivery with no damage present.
